Background
While operating schools in India, Effect.org saw decreasing numbers in girls’ attendance. Whilst filming, Effect.org made valuable partnerships with nonprofits fighting trafficking throughout India and Nepal.

I had an amazing experience that exceeded my expectations. It was truly a life-changing week and will never see the world in the same way. Thanks to the team for putting together an impressive schedule of events, pulling together a great group of volunteers and helping each of us really delve into the experience. I learned a lot, experienced a lot and most importantly was moved to action through the encounters I had during the week. I would highly recommend this opportunity to anyone who is ready for a life-altering experience.
I loved it. It exceeded my expectations by far. Everything was perfectly organized and I could feel every single day I stayed there that our help can be useful for the NGOs in Nepal and for the girls.
The expedition was one of growth in perspective and empathy for a cause that most Americans are blind too. The expedition was beautifully organized by Effect and the NGOs were taught me more then I could have ever imagined. I felt like I was gone for 3 months not a week! The travel is tough and switching out of your routine into a developing country is no easy feat. However, every small challenge that pushes you out of your comfort zone helps you grow more as an individual and our group did grow collectively! Being able to improve the operational success of these NGOs was a huge success during the hackathon. You realize that there are so many small wins and the gratitude from both sides is heart warming. Thank you for changing my life!
